Christian Beauty is More Than Skin Deep

My name is Shante and I am a young Christian woman who also happens to be a beauty professional.  I believe that Christian beauty comes from within.  The spirit of Christ that is within you is what shines from within.  Everyone can see it on the outside.  There is nothing wrong with feeling good about you and having it show on the outside.  The bible says in I Chronicles 16:29, "Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness?.  Because we have the spirit of Christ inside, He expects us to live holy because He is holy.  The scripture also says there is beauty in holiness.  God finds pleasure in our worship to Him and considers holiness beautiful!

A Christian should always give the Lord their best, whether it is during spiritual worship, in your work for the Lord, or even in the way you represent yourself before others.  Some people feel that Christians shouldn?t present themselves in a pleasant manner but we should.  When you come into the house of the Lord, you should look your best, but with modesty.  There is nothing wrong with Christians getting their hair done, wearing make-up, jewelry or wearing nice clothes and shoes.   Wear your outfits with wisdom and in moderation for Christ.  Christian beauty is more than skin deep because it is all about how you feel about yourself as a young saved woman.  If you feel good about yourself on the inside, then others will see your confidence on the outside.   People will be attracted to the spirit of Christ that is in you.  We should feel good about ourselves and feel confident in where we stand in Christ. And remember, God represents beauty, meaning that He stands for holiness and cleanliness.  That is what we should always represent inside and out.
